• Oral Surgery & Root Canal Therapy

Our staff is trained in the most up-to-date procedures and advanced techniques in oral surgery. Root canal treatment is used to repair and save a tooth that has been badly infected or decayed. The ‘root canal’ is the term used to describe the hollow area at the center of the tooth. The procedure involves removing the nerve and ‘pulp’ from the inside of the tooth and cleaning the affected area. The nerve’s only purpose is to provide sensory functions, including differentiating between hot and cold, so removal of the nerve has no significant consequence.

    Reasons for root canal therapy:

    • Prolonged sensitivity
    • Severe toothace
    • Reoccurring or persistent pimple on the gums
    • Darkening of the tooth
    • Bone loss
